What are the requirements to participate and complete this program?
Has practiced yoga for a minimum of 6 months.

What type of certification do I get when I complete this program and how can I use it?
You will earn your 200-hour Registered Yoga Teaching Certificate through the Yoga Alliance.
What does the training curriculum consist of?
The curriculum consists of:
Class sequence and points of performance
Independent posture research
Lineage and breakdown of postures
Anatomy of body systems
Business of Yoga
Teaching methodologies and tools
Personal development and leadership skills
Online coursework
Do I need to already have participated in a teacher training to do this program?
No.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. We do not want finances to limit you from living your dream. Payment plans are available upon request. All payment plans must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of the training program.
What happens if I don’t complete the program?
If you do not complete all of the requirements for our 200-hour Teacher Training program you will receive a certificate of participation instead of a certificate of completion.
What is the application process like?
Complete and submit your application online. A member of the training faculty will contact you to set an interview either by phone, video call, or in person. Once the interview has been completed and when you are accepted, we will invoice you for payment. If choosing to make a payment plan, the total sum of the training will be divided into two payments that must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of the program. All payments are non-refundable.
Where is the training located?
We are hosting two one-week intensives at the Ancient Yoga Center (AYC), nestled in the rolling hills on the picturesque 230-acre property of Radha Madhav Dham, about 30 minutes south of downtown Austin. The address is 207 Barsana Ave., Austin, TX 78737. You can learn more about this beautiful property on their website. Your tuition includes lodging and all meals while we are guests at the AYC.
What can I bring with me during the intensives at the Ancient Yoga Center?
· Yoga clothes for daily practice and practice teaching (there is laundry on site – feel free to bring supplies to wash clothing)
· Mat and towel
· Reusable water bottle
· Comfortable clothing for lectures
· Notebook
· Writing utensils
· Hiking shoes
· Clothing for outdoor hike
· Sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, hat
· Medications, supplements, vitamins you may need
· Any personal effects to make your time at the AYC as enjoyable as possible
What is a typical day like during the week intensive?
The following is a projected schedule for a full day at the AYC. This is subject to change.
· 6:45 am – 7:10am: MEDITATION
· 7:15 am – 8:45 am: CLASS
· 8:45 am – 9:45 am: BREAKFAST
· 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: MORNING SESSION
· 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: LUNCH
· 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: AFTERNOON SESSION
· 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm: TEST-OUTS/PRACTICE TEACHING
· 4:15 pm– 6:00 pm: LAB CLASS
· 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: DINNER
· 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: EVENING SESSION
What kind of food will be provided at the Ancient Yoga Center?
The AYC will provide all meals everyday: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There will be coffee and hot tea available in between meals for you. All meals are vegetarian based. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know ahead of time so we can communicate with the AYC.
